Local stories as learning for our early years children

Working with storyteller Carmel Page, Sheffield Hallam University students and Meadows Nursery staff, this pilot is being devised and developed to offer creative approaches to parents and carers for them to share local stories with their children. 

This will support the positive mental health of the parents and build community, as well as boosting the children’s social, emotional and language development.  

A shareable ‘how to’ resource will be created in August at the end of the project, for use in other nursery settings across the city – get in touch if you want more details.
